Overview:
This position is remote within the Fulton Bank footprint (DE, MD, NJ, PA, VA)
The role will act as the primary customer resource after credit approval to facilitate the loan through settlement ensuring all closing conditions are satisfied. Performs due diligence review and internal resource coordination between all required parties. Works to settle new and modified commercial loans and complete due diligence in a timely manner. Prepares and delivers all required loan documentation. Ensures loans are settled according to credit approval and Bank policy, verifying adherence to state and federal lending regulations to reduce the risk of financial loss to the Bank. The role will understand client needs and engage professionally and proactively with client, attorneys, and all third parties to ensure an efficient and effective fulfillment process, understanding various risks associated with the closing and documentation of commercial loans and working to mitigate identified risks.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts due diligence on loan parties, collateral, and other pertinent approval requirements, including corporate and other entity documentation, searches, title, and insurance.
- Completes review of entity formation and organizational legal documents to validate and ensure appropriate parties are included in loan documents.
- Reviews and analyzes documentation to ensure compliance with approved underwriting guidelines, company policies, and regulatory standards for all states.
- Works directly with customers, relationship managers, credit, and other internal teams.
- Communicates professionally to other third parties including attorneys and insurance/title companies to ensure all documentation has been collected and reviewed.
- Prepares and monitors closing checklists for assigned loans.
- Reviews and confirms critical attributes of loan documentation such as borrower and guarantor information, loan terms, and that collateral description(s) match information in the business banking origination system.
- Ensures due diligence documentation provided for the transaction aligns with Fulton's internal records.
- Prepares loan documents using Fulton’s internal documentation system.
- Organizes items for settlement, prepares and approves settlement and disbursement instructions. Provides funding instructions to centralized funding team.
- Assists lending staff with the resolution of documentation issues and other procedural matters. Ensures service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Proactively manages daily activity, independently prioritizes multiple simultaneous transactions (10 or more).
- Meets service level agreements (SLAs) with all external and internal customers.
Qualifications:
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent. (Required)
Associate Degree or the equivalent experience. Specialty: business, finance, administration. (Preferred)
Experience
3 or more years knowledge of commercial lending functions, which could include commercial and industrial loans, agricultural loans, small business administration loans, or commercial real estate loans with an emphasis on lending documentation, and collateral standards. (Required)
4 or more years customer service. (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Understanding of when and how changes to a loan need credit approval along with clear knowledge of various entity types and structures (Required)
- Ability to multi-task, problem solve and efficiently manage time (Required)

- Experience with review and understanding of corporate legal documents to include Formation Documents and Entity Agreement Documents (Required)
- Experience with commercial loan documentation and knowledge of basic due diligence materials for loan transactions (Preferred)
- Prior experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Laserpro and nCino programs (Preferred)

Specific compensation offered will be determined based on a combination of factors including the candidate’s knowledge, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials. The salary range may vary based on geographic location.
The hourly rate for this position is $22.93 - $38.27.
