Overview:

CHE Behavioral Health is seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and be proficient in accounting practices, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.  Join CHE, a leading APA-approved, clinician-led behavioral health company! Since 1995, CHE has provided superior services in 800+ facilities across 10 states, specializing in adult and geriatric care in rehabilitation and skilled nursing facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations for 20+ accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct general ledger reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate financial data.
  • Support month-end closing activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and trend analysis to keep the general ledger updated.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, while monitoring key financial trends.
  • Process bi-monthly expense reimbursements for payroll submission.
  • Generate ad-hoc financial reports as needed by management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Assist external auditors with required documentation during annual audits.
  • Stay up-to-date on general accounting practices and standards.
  • Compensation $60,000 - $70,000 annually based on experience.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in general accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and experience with Sage Intacct.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Multi-agency experience is a plus.
