Role Overview: 

The Payroll Associate will join the Global Atlantic Payroll team to help to support and execute the company's payroll operations for approximately 1500 exempt and 300 non-exempt employees. You will ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide exceptional support to our employees. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Integrity and confidentiality are critical for success, as this role requires precision, efficiency, and handling sensitive information. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including salary, hourly, and commission-based staff 
  • Ensure accurate and timely calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and other compensation elements 
  • Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in salaries, benefits, and tax withholdings 
  • Verify and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and completeness 
  • Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including federal, state, and local taxes 
  • Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and company policies 
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll deductions promptly and professionally 
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to streamline payroll processes and resolve any discrepancies 
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports to management as needed 
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred 
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements 
  • Proficiency working with ADP Workforce Now and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of payroll processing 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skill 
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion 
  • This role is not currently eligible for Visa sponsorship 

Various jurisdictions have passed pay transparency laws that require companies provide salary ranges for any positions for which they are accepting applications. Global Atlantic has offices in Atlanta, Batesville, Bermuda, Boston, Des Moines, Hartford, Indianapolis, and New York City. The base salary range posted below is inclusive of the lowest cost of living geography to the highest in which we have a Global Atlantic office. 

Global Atlantic’s base salary range is determined through an analysis of similar positions in the external labor market. Base pay is just one component of Global Atlantic’s total compensation package for employees and at times we hire outside the boundaries of the salary range. Other rewards may include annual cash bonuses, long-term incentives (equity), generous benefits (including immediate vesting on employee contributions to a 401(k), as well as a company match on your contributions), and sales incentives.  Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Compensation for our more senior positions have a larger component of short-term cash bonus and long-term incentives. 

The base salary range for this role is
$62,000$117,600 USD
