Manager Information Technology (Remote)

Full time, Poland, Spain, Luxembourg, Germany, Netherlands, United Kingdom

The DevOps Manager – Daily Operations will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operational aspects of BCD Travel’s global DevOps environment. This role will focus on ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of key IT services across regions, managing a globally dispersed team of engineers in Europe, North America, and APAC. The manager will be tasked with overseeing the upkeep of systems, system monitoring, capacity planning, and ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently met. This role requires an individual who can effectively manage daily operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the team adheres to global standards, all while fostering collaboration across regions and time zones. You will report to the Global Director or DevOps.

As a Manager Information Technology, you will

  • Lead and manage daily operations of the DevOps team, ensuring consistent delivery of IT services across all regions
  • Contribute to the department budget, including lifecycle management, capacity planning, T&E, and training needs
  • Ensure systems are kept up to date with the latest security patches and that the team follows protocols to maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
  • Ensure robust monitoring and alerting systems are in place to proactively identify and address system issues
  • Lead the team in responding to incidents and ensuring prompt resolution of operational issues
  • Work with key stakeholders in IT and business functions to ensure operational services meet business needs and expectations

About You

  • Several years of technology experience
  • In-depth understanding of required technology and terminology and its interaction with complex IT enterprise environments
  • In-depth knowledge of IT security from a technical point
  • Experience with ITIL methodology
  • Experience with PCI/DSS is a plus
  • Must possess good communication and presentation skills in English
