Join as a crucial member of an Innovative Art Team in a fast-growing American start-up (Permanent WFH)

Job Description

Fresh Prints is a New York based custom apparel startup. We find incredible students and give them training and support to build the business at their schools.

The Art Team is responsible for mocking up incredible designs for clients. Within the Art Team, there is a special team responsible for creating trend-setting original artwork for the Fresh Prints website, our seasonal lookbooks, open-ended proofs, and special high value clients.  You will lead this special team of skilled artists and you will be directly responsible for growing the size and influence of the original art team, with the goal of selling millions of dollars worth of original artwork in 2024.

Job Responsibilities:

Lead Original Artwork Creation

  • Set artistic vision and strategy for Fresh Prints’ original art and lead your team to create original artwork consistent with that vision
  • Analyze site data to identify content gaps in our web gallery and areas of focus for art creation
  • Create content calendar to ensure designs are posted in time for client’s seasonal events
  • Set clear goals around quantity and quality of original artwork

Management 

  • Manage the production of your team to hit quantity and quality goals daily
  • Weekly check-ins with Direct Reports 
  • Grading the quality of your Direct Reports’ work
  • Mentor future management talent to build out more layers as the team grows

Lookbooks

  • Stay current on apparel trends within our target market as well as graphic design and illustration trends in general 
  • Lead research and development for the Fresh Prints seasonal lookbooks
  • Manage the production of artwork for the Fresh Prints seasonal lookbooks

Requirements: 

  • At least 5 years experience in graphic design, graphics for production, art direction, or a related creative field
  • At least 5 years of significant management experience (direct management of output and responsible for the quality of their work) and/or leading a team of at least 5 individual contributors with diverse functions
  • 3+ years of experience serving the US or European market 
  • Skill in data analysis (proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets) and strategic thinking
  • Complete and total written and spoken fluency in English
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Detail-oriented and meticulous with work 
  • Self-motivated and excited to work on a variety of projects

Details

  • The role is remote, work-from-home, in the Philippines
  • Work Hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00PM to 7:00AM (PH, night shift) / 9:00AM to 7:00PM (US Time, EST)
