Job description

Resource Innovations is seeking an/a Senior Grid Software Project Manager to join our growing team. We are seeking a mission driven and career minded professional with a strong background in software Product management.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define software project scope, goals and results that support the strategic business goals and requirements in collaboration with Grid Products leadership, technical experts and customers.
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements for the contracted scope of the project(s) and maintain the relationship during the project execution.
  • Identify and oversee project dependencies and critical path.
  • Perform budgeting & forecasting and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Where required, work with other department managers for the allocation of required resources from within the company.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, schedule and resources to ensure adherence to project plan and manage risks with appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques.
  • Liaise with project partners on an ongoing basis and provide regular communications to ensure alignment and understanding.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in software project management with medium-to-large software implementations.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
  • Background in business skills, management, budgeting, and analysis.
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest in sustainability and passionate about making a meaningful impact on the environment.

Preferred skills, education and experience

  • Familiarity with the energy/utility software industry is required. Expertise in this area is a plus.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
