Position Summary:
We’re looking for a high-energy, personable, execution-focused team player to manage our industry trade shows, customer conferences, and user group events. You’ll join a team of Marketers within a fast-paced, successful, and growing company to showcase our brand and award-winning software to customers and prospects around the world.
The Marketing Events Manager identifies, plans and executes a variety of event programs including tradeshows, user conferences, and customer events that will help meet corporate business objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for the strategy, development, and execution of the field marketing plan. You will manage planning meetings with stakeholders and virtual teams from start to finish. The ideal candidate will be a strong project manager, come up to speed quickly, have industry events experience and build strong rapport with event partners and internal team members from the start.
This role will own driving event demand generation at scale, implement best practices, to foster better customer and prospect experiences globally, and make continuous improvements based on data and insights. This position will oversee programs with the goal of generating quality leads and pipeline, accelerating the sales cycle, and building customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will be well-versed in event management, measuring impact/results, logistic details, and able to manage multiple projects at one time.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage overall planning and execution of in-person and virtual events. Including annual user conferences, road shows, and trade shows.Develop and oversee event objectives, budget, project plans, and scope aligned with marketing strategy. Prepare event workback plans with timelines, resources, and deliverables.Drive and develop event strategy and creative ideation/forward thinking, bringing industry relevance and knowledge.Monitor performance, analyze results, and iterate on strategies to optimize ROI and achieve business objectives.Provide regular reporting and insights to stakeholders, including senior management, on the impact of event marketing efforts.Research and recommend industry events, vendors, venues, promotional items.Primary point of contact with event hosts for sponsorships and speaker opportunities.Collaborate with Cority subject matter experts for onsite staffing needs.Work with team members to execute event email/social communications and branding.REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:5-7 years of relevant work experience in B2B marketing event management (customer-focused global events and industry trade shows). Technology organizations a plus.Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or related discipline preferred.Expertise in MS Office applications - Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook. Experience with event management software (Cvent preferred) and project management software (Asana preferred). Knowledge of Salesforce and Marketo a plus.Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements.Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams and event partners.Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Commitment to delivering high-quality and error-free work.Excellent time management skills. Ability to work efficiently within guidelines, prioritize responsibilities, and manage tasks under tight deadlines.
