Business Development Executive – Sustainability Consulting
- Follow-up on and generate leads executing business development activities, in line with the go to market plan, across North America.
- Focus for this role is growing our sustainability consulting services specific to regulatory and voluntary sustainability reporting requirements for Europe and North America. Examples include CSRD, SB253, SB261, SEC, SBTi and CDP.
- Use and maintain Sphera’s sales tools, such as Salesforce, to manage your sales process and forecast in an organized and timely manner.
- Assess prospective clients needs and determine appropriate sustainability consulting products and software solutions based upon your clear understanding of Sphera’s portfolio of services.
- Develop proposals and Statements of Work to communicate Sphera’s unique value proposition to clients.
- Remain highly organized, accountable, and detailed orientated while building and closing a sales pipeline to meet targets
- Respond to client requests in a timely and proactive manner
- Collaborate with other members of the sustainability consulting team to develop market leading value propositions and meet team and group sales targets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a sustainability-focused role with practical experience in interpretating and articulating sustainability reporting frameworks.
- Communicate excellently with diverse groups of people inside and outside of the organization.
- Ability to envision, develop and communicate sustainability consulting services to prospect clients
- Ability to forge cross-functional relationships within Sphera.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability to deliver sales targets
- Extremely detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Aptitude to understand and communicate the business value of Sphera’s sustainability consulting services
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in sustainability or related field. Equivalent work experience may substitute for education. Minimum 3 years’ business development with a focus on sustainability with software experience an advantage.
Pay:
$74,400.00 - $111,600.00 + Eligible for Variable Compensation Plan
