Job Description
The Conversational AI Designer is responsible for leading efforts in applying knowledge of human capabilities, technology, industry design best practices and standards to create user interfaces for Allstate virtual assistants. As a Conversational AI Designer, you will collaborate on cross-functional teams to drive business outcomes in service of Allstate customers, consumers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
• Independently partners with the development team through implementation of tactical voice and chat experiences to ensure user experience standards are met.
• Consistently adheres to and advocates for the conversational AI design process in own work without oversight.
• Independently plans, conducts and facilitates iterative evaluations of conversational AI designs (usability testing, mock-up interviews, heuristic reviews, wizard of oz testing, A/B testing, qualitative and quantitative measures).
• Uses conversational AI design knowledge to educate and inform project teams on the role of voice and chat design, drivers of profitability, and technical feasibility.
• Proactively executes conversational AI design, and alerts leads or managers to issues or scope changes that will jeopardize timelines, even beyond own work.
• Regularly contributes ideas for improving conversational AI design processes.
• Consistent use of human-centered design methods and tools to analyze ambiguous conversational AI design problems and to execute solutions.
• Consistently produces conversational AI designs that account for both user and business needs and technical feasibility.
• Gains support for difficult decisions and enlists commitment by involving others at all stages of the conversational AI design process.
• Develops in-depth conversational AI design ideas and materials; ensures understanding of technical matters by non-technical decision makers.
• Imbibes their passion and knowledge about conversation design, AI and information architecture into their designs.
Education
• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)
Experience
• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)
Supervisory Responsibilities
• This job does not have supervisory duties.

• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $78,600.00 - 142,275.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
