Position: Temporary Manager, Process Risk and Controls Consulting (PRC) Practice - Global Banking
Location: Remote
About the Role:
We are seeking experienced professionals to join our rapidly growing Global Banking Risk Consulting Practice, focused on Process Risk and Controls Consulting. Candidates will join a diverse, high-performing team with extensive experience working with top US and Global Banking institutions. As a member of our PRC practice, you will step into a dynamic culture that values innovative thinking, solution-focused collaboration, and diversity of thought and experience, all while providing opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Experience:
- Advanced understanding of internal controls concepts and their application in complex global banking organizations.
- Experience with interpreting policies, procedures, and controls of business applications, networks, operating systems, and other components of technology infrastructure.
- Consulting with client leadership on strategic plans, helping clients anticipate emerging risks and opportunities.
- Independently assessing and providing practical guidance on internal controls, determining risk exposures, and developing remediation plans.
- Reviewing documentation, evaluation, and testing of application controls, particularly automated controls.
- Interpreting and articulating technical findings and recommendations to senior management stakeholders.
- Issue Validation: Finding exceptions, tracking them, ensuring business needs to solve them, and validating with internal audit that issues have been fixed.

Client Experience:

- Identify and share relevant global banking industry thought leadership with clients.
- Own management-level relationships and interact with executive-level stakeholders.
- Lead risk assessment management interviews and collaborate on audit plans.
- Review client deliverables, including process narratives, risks and control matrices, and testing of controls.
- Lead formal closing meetings with clients to share and confirm deliverables.
- Manage project economics, including billing, monitoring, and collections.
- Oversee multiple clients, projects, and teams simultaneously.
Additional Requirements:
- BTA Cyber/IT Audit: IT internal audit with a focus on banking-specific business acumen beyond IT SOX work.
- Experience in consumer banking, including retail banking, branches, small business loans, car loans, lending, and deposits.
- Ability to find and collaborate with internal and external resources as needed.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, accounting, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in audit, internal audit, or related internal control positions serving large global banking institutions. Prior public accounting or professional services firm experience is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA).
- Experience leading project-based work with defined timelines.
- Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel to meet client needs and work collaboratively in-person or remotely.
- Demonstrated success in high-pressure scenarios.

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $80 - $120 per hour
