What you’ll do as a Pricing Analyst:
As a Pricing Analyst (internal job title ‘Strategic Pricing Specialist’), you’ll be responsible for analytical activities, recommending yield & volume growth improvement initiatives. You will also lead our continuous improvement initiatives, helping to build our capabilities enabling us to better leverage analytical tools across Express Parcels.
A key member of the team, you’ll provide ongoing advisory services to the senior leadership team, across a full spectrum of topics, in order to continually improve the underlying revenue performance of the business.
You’ll manipulate both customer and financial data sets to help with mutually beneficial pricing solutions.
Responsibilities include (not limited to):
- Driving strategic pricing projects to achieve yearly yield growth goals
- Identifying defining, and developing solutions to enhance business performance
- Collaborating with the sales and operations teams, helping them to ensure contract profitability
- Determining appropriate current and future costs for assessing customer contract profitability
What are we looking for in a Pricing Analyst? What’s important?
- Extensive experience within complex pricing roles
- Strong Excel, Power BI and SQL skills
- Prior experience working with large volumes of data/big data
- Exceptional commercial acumen, aligned with analytic capabilities, delivering digestible pricing insights to key stakeholders
- Knowledge of yield management & product performance analysis techniques
Extra points for the following (not essential though):
- Qualification in Accounting, Economics or Engineering.
- Background in transport/logistics sectors
- Exposure to working within a data driven analytics team
