About the Role (Your Why)
The Cloud Commercial Analyst is a key contributor to Datacoms Cloud Financial Management (FinOps) Practice. This role focuses on administration and coordination of billing for our Public Cloud vendors, supporting customers with billing queries and understanding their Cloud costs and usage patterns, and helping us continuously improve our customers billing experience. What You’ll Do
The Cloud Commercial Analyst is responsible for (but not limited to):
- Compiling and validating Public Cloud billing data and coordinating with finance teams to generate invoicing and financial performance reporting
- Conducting public cloud spend and utilisation analyses to formulate reports providing historical analysis and trend forecasts
- Managing the continuous improvement of billing and reporting processes with the support of the Cloud Financial Management team
- Attend and contribute to customer meetings and workshops reviewing and refining reporting
- Building and maintaining detailed knowledge of Public Cloud commercials and products
- Creating training processes and documentation

What You’ll Bring
Essential:
- 4+ years of related business operations experience, particularly with managing billing and financial data
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word and PowerPoint and particularly with using Excel with pivot tables, power query and extracting insights from complex data)
- Basic understanding of accounting processes and P&L management
- Knowledge of commercial contracts, relevant to Datacom’s industry
- Conceptual understanding of Public Cloud services and associated financial constructs
- Effective presentation skills with the ability to connect technical and financial information in meaningful ways
Desirable:
- Understanding of (and certifications in) Public Cloud Concepts (AWS and Azure)
- Experience with NetSuite and Power BI
- Experience with SaaS, LaaS or PaaS products
- Experience with Cloud FinOps or FinOps certifications
- Accounting or other financial services certifications
