Director of Integration - Synapse Virtual Production

About the Role:
We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Director of Integration with a strong background in entertainment technology. This role involves working with stakeholders on LED volume builds, including both permanent and temporary installations, as well as internal and external special projects. The ideal candidate will create detailed technical drawings, collaborate with department heads to manage top-level production drawings for various technical elements such as video, rigging, lighting, and audio, and work with project management to create budgets. Additionally, this role requires knowledge of 3D scanning workflows and the ability to incorporate scans into production drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed technical drawings for LED volumes, support structures, rigging, and other related components.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure designs meet project specifications.

• Work with technical department heads to manage and integrate top-level production drawings, including video, rigging, lighting, scenic, and audio.

• ​​​​​​​Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and safety regulations.

• Assist in the planning and coordination of project timelines and deliverables.

• ​​​​​​​Review and revise drawings based on feedback from stakeholders and project teams

• ​​​​​​​Maintain organized records of all drawings and project documentation.

• ​​​​​​​Support the project team during installation phases by providing necessary technical documentation and adjustments.

• ​​​​​​​Collaborate with project management to create and manage project budgets.

• ​​​​​​​Utilize knowledge of 3D scanning workflows to incorporate scans into production drawings.

• ​​​​​​​Demonstrate strong proficiency in both 2D and 3D drafting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CAD Draftsperson, preferably within the entertainment technology industry.

• Strong proficiency in Vectorworks

• AutoCAD experience a plus.

• Excellent attention to detail and ability to create precise technical drawings.

• Good understanding of LED technology and related support structures.

• Familiarity with video, rigging, lighting, and audio systems in a production environment.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.

• Ability to render in Unreal or strong rendering skills with a willingness to learn Unreal for visualization.

• Knowledge of 3D scanning workflows and the ability to incorporate scans into production drawings.

Required Skills:

• Expertise in Vectorworks and AutoCAD software.

• Strong knowledge of entertainment technology systems, including LED, rigging, lighting, and audio.

• Excellent organizational and project planning skills.

• Strong proficiency in both 2D and 3D drafting.

• Knowledge of 3D scanning workflows and the ability to incorporate scans into production drawings.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
