Job description

IDT is looking to bring an Engineering Manager to reinforce our technology management team with the mission to optimize our software platform and elevate the agility of our technology teams.

In this highly visible role that has direct access to C-level executives, you will build, manage and lead our world-class agile software engineering organization that is responsible for supporting a suite of products. 

You’ll be able to:
  • People Management:
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of growth and development.
  • Conduct performance reviews, set objectives, and support career progression.
  • Recruit, hire, and retain engineering talent.
  • Driving Initiatives:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Manage the timelines for product objectives, resources, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Encourage the adoption of new technologies and practices.
  • Technology Excellence:
  • Uphold high standards in code quality, system design, and architectural decisions.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Drive technical discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Process Management:
  • Implement and refine engineering processes to enhance team efficiency and product quality.
  • Facilitate agile methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ensure alignment of engineering processes with company goals and objectives.

  • Requirements:
  • You have at least one year of experience leading multi-functional agile development teams, preferably in a product setting.
  • You have solid prior career experience as a software engineer.
  • You have experience with continuous integration, automated testing, release management, and performance monitoring.
  • You can effectively prioritize, plan, and demonstrate the capability to work well under pressure and in ambiguous situations. A Computer Science degree
  • Experience in hiring and developing high-performing software engineers is a bonus.
  • Good level of English – B2 or higher.
