Job Summary:

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will process of tracking invoices and resolving accounts for our customers and clients. Some of the most significant areas of responsibility include all accounts receivable related administrative functions, including contacting current and delinquent customers to secure payment, assisting with printing and mailing of statements, reviewing account histories with customers, and posting payments, credit memos and adjustments. 

General Responsibilities

  • Process accounts receivable transactions
  • Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
  • Provide support for internal and external audits
  • Perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage collection efforts and associated functions
  • Engage management over AR issues encountered
  • Communicate with customers and clients about billing discrepancies and questions
  • Establish effective communication lines with other departments
  • Verify compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in accounting or like field, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience required
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail with a dedication to accuracy
  • Ability to analyze large sets of data
  • High degree of familiarity with accounts receivable functions
  • Insurance and/or construction industry experience required
  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to follow detailed processes and procedures
  • Problem solver with strong self-initiative and motivation
  • Experience with Salesforce, QuickBooks, NetSuite a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks 
  • Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn about the project or product being developed.
  • Ability to utilize technology devices, software and application, previous experience with Microsoft Office Suites and basic computer skills required
  • Reliable high speed home broadband internet connection with minimum 10 meg download and 1 meg upload speeds and ability to connect to home internet via ethernet cord is required if working remotely
