Job description

This is a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile accounts in QuickBooks Online
  • Ensure all financial records are up-to-date and accurate
  • Prepare books for tax season and assist with quarterly filings
  • Collaborate with the company’s CPA to ensure all financial information is organized and ready for review
  • Assist with other financial tasks as the company grows and needs evolve - clerical tasks may be added as needed

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online 2-3 years experience minimum
  • Experience in bookkeeping for small businesses or startups 2-3 years experience minimum
  • Ability to work remotely and communicate effectively in a distributed team environment
  • Availability to work 20 hours per week, preferably during Eastern Time Zone business hours
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Adaptability to take on additional tasks as the company grows
  • other software knowledge required “Microsoft 365 suite”, Sharepoint. Other software would be beneficial, but not required “Mondays work management”. PDF editing software,

Scope:

  • Manage financial records for a three-person startup team
  • Handle bookkeeping for both consulting services and product distribution aspects of the business
  • Prepare financial documents for quarterly and annual tax filings
  • Potential to grow into a full-time role as the company expands
  • Monday to Friday anywhere between 9 AM to 5 PM (20 hours per week)
