The Position

The Marketing Manager, National Accounts, will partner closely with National Account Managers (NAMs) to drive and execute marketing strategies designed to grow and strengthen key customer relationships. This role will focus on supporting customer-specific marketing initiatives, ensuring timely execution, and providing tailored solutions for merchandising, product placement, and promotional activities. The successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive, and adept at working with both internal teams and external customers to deliver impactful marketing programs that align with customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with NAMs to develop and implement strategic marketing plans that drive customer engagement and growth.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer marketing activities, ensuring all projects are on time and on track.
  • Drive Marketing Quarterly Reviews (MQR) with key stakeholders, preparing agendas, materials, and leading discussions to review account performance and upcoming initiatives.
  • Provide custom marketing materials such as flyers, banners, and presentations, collaborating with internal stakeholders (e.g., product development, creative teams) to customize content based on customer needs.
  • Coordinate and submit merchandising and product placement opportunities to customers, ensuring alignment with internal product and marketing teams.
  • Oversee the development and distribution of monthly content drops, including messaging, product photos, and sample boxes for key customers.
  • Lead pre-event planning meetings with internal stakeholders to align on strategy and marketing materials needed for upcoming trade shows or customer events
  • Lead and organize monthly calls with NAMs and marketing leads to ensure alignment on account activities and priorities.
  • Monitor the alignment of marketing tactics with the overall marketing calendar and company resources.
  • Collaborate with NAMs, VP Sales, and SVP Marketing on budget allocation and funding requests for marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related degree
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with a focus on account management or customer marketing, preferably in the promotional products or merchandising industry.
  • Excellent PowerPoint presentation capabilities for external facing audiences
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across different stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to present ideas and strategies to both internal teams and external customers.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally with sales, product, and creative teams.
  • Familiarity with national account or customer-specific marketing needs and a demonstrated ability to tailor strategies to fit those requirements.
