Role Summary:

The B/D ETF Sales Specialist (BESS) will be focused on developing and executing the firm's distribution initiatives related to the sale of Exchange Traded Funds (ETF) through broker dealer intermediaries. The role will report to the Head of ETF Sales within the ETF Team vertical of Global Distribution. The BESS will execute a sales strategy to ensure T. Rowe Price is maximizing its sales of ETFs in partnership with the B/D field sales teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with and support B/D field salespeople in identifying, qualifying, engaging, and impacting the adoption of ETFs within the territory’s targeted advisor clients and prospects.

  • Partner with ETF enablement to ensure effective use of date to target highest value ETF users within Broker Dealer segment.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge and profile of assigned ETF clients, their sensitivities, and their business needs to effectively influence their decision-making.

  • Serve as sales representative for ETF product suite to further expand distribution through B/D financial advisors

  • Proactively look for and determine opportunities to leverage subject matter expert support partners on the ETF team with assigned clients and B/D field partners.

  • Travel extensively to engage advisor clients and provide additional sales coverage to B/D field teams across territories.

  • Maintain and be aware of full ETF opportunity pipeline with intentional focus to leverage all resources at his/her disposal to ultimately win these business opportunities.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

  • 10+ years of total relevant work experience

  • 7+ years of total relevant work experience

  • 5 years of ETF distribution experience

  • Ability to travel

  • Series 7 and 63 licensing

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree or designation

  • Exceptional communication skills including written, verbal, and delivering presentations

  • Experience with U.S. investment distribution and working with Broker Dealer financial advisors

  • Strong understanding of the players in the ETF ecosystem, capital markets, sophisticated investment vehicles, and financial market’s structure

  • Proven ability to drive sales directly with intermediary clients

  • Strong organizational, time management, and relationship management skills

  • Ability to drive results and operate independently

  • Team orientation with intentional mindset to partner and build business collaboratively

  • In-depth knowledge of ETFs and competing investment vehicles such as mutual funds, separately managed accounts, etc.

FINRA Requirements

FINRA licenses (Series 7 and 63) are required and will be supported for this role.

Work Flexibility

This role is eligible for full time remote work.

Base salary ranges:

$138,000.00 - $249,000.00 for the location of: California, New York
$138,000.00 - $249,000.00 for the location of: Washington, D.C
$138,000.00 - $249,000.00 for the location of: Colorado, Maryland, Washington and all other US locations

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience and skills for the role.  Base salary is only one component of our total compensation package.  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, which is determined upon company and individual performance.
