Job Title: Team Lead, Material Control
Department: Material Handling & Packaging
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Overview:
The Team Lead, Material Control in addition to ensuring the timely and accurate issuance and delivery of materials required for production in accordance cGMP and FDA procedures, maintaining inventory level and accuracy, prompt ERP System transaction (AX)/SAP, and performing all pre-issuance tasks for certain materials, is also responsible for team members’ accountability and trainings.
This is a third shift position. Working hours are 10:00 pm - 6:30 am, M-F. This position is eligible for additional shift differential pay. This position requires working an 8-hour shift; however, business needs may necessitate the need to adjust shift times and durations.
Responsibilities:
- Handling, issuing and delivery of raw materials to the Cleanroom.
- Replenishment of the Kitting Room
- Accurate and timely ERP System (AX) transaction of any material movement performed. This also includes regular checks and verification of Team Members’ transactions.
- Ensuring that every Raw Material brought into Kitting is IQA approved.
- Maintenance of work area and equipment in a functioning, clean and orderly condition.
- Reporting any equipment malfunction and all downtime occurrence during individual shifts. This includes but not limited to putting in IT Service Desk Tickets.
- Ensuring timeliness and acceptable conduct for all team members and reporting any tardiness observed.
- Creating Task Schedules for team members during the duration of each shift and holding them accountable to these tasks.
- Adherence to every safety procedure and policy in place and ensuring team members are doing the same.
- Covering certain task when the shift is short-staffed. This includes but not limited to Siliconization, Running in the Cleanroom and Main to Kit Transactions.
- Must be able to work with all cross-functional teams including but not limited Engineers, Finance, USAM, Warehouse, etc.
- Coordinating with Production and ensuring smooth transitions during Product Changeover.
- Segregation and accurate transaction of any material reported to have an NCMR during the shift.
- Treat every Return Materials during the shift.
- Must be trained to operate a forklift, hand truck or other material transport equipment.
- Ensuring Team Members are up to date on trainings. Every team member must be trained to Siliconize Release Bar, To Run, Siliconize Cannula Plugs, do the Shift Report/Handover, how to treat Radio Requests timely and must be up to date on all assigned LMS trainings.
- Ensure Proper End of Shift cleanup which includes but not limited to, emptying all trash bins, boxing of returned empty trays, cleaning of workstations and work areas, removing empty pallets from the Kitting Room and placing bad pallets appropriately.
- One-on-one handover to the Incoming Team Lead at the end of every shift.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor/manager.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED and/or equivalent combination of education or experience
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 2 years of Kitting or Material Handling Experience required.
- Previous warehouse experience will be an added advantage.
- Must be a trained Forklift operator.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lead a team of at least 5 people.
- Ability to stay organized and multitask.
- Experience with MS Office products.
- Computer skills.
- High attention to detail and high level of accuracy is a must
Physical Requirements (if applicable):
- Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs.
- Must be able to safely operate electric and manual pallet jacks.
- This job requires a lot of standing, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and bending.
- Required to lift above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.
- Must be comfortable with taking and giving work directions.

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $29.33 - $44.11. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
