Summary of Job Duties:
The Move Technician performs moves, state surplus, recycling/waste, and event set-ups in support of the medical, educational, and research programs on the UAMS Campus and offsite facilities. This position will be responsible for the disassembly and reassembly of computers, furniture, and other equipment as needed. This position is also responsible for assisting with problems and/or emergencies relating to facility issues on the UAMS Campus.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • One (1) year experience in equipment, furniture disassembly or similar.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekend when required by the department.
  • Valid Driver’s License with fewer than 12 points on their Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Must have a forklift license or acquire one within 6 months of employment.
  • The ability to lift 50 lbs. or more repetitiously.
  • Ability to follow oral instruction, read and write.
  • Must have proven customer service skills
