You want to be an important member of a strong team of other makers who take pride in their work and support each other. As a Wood Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for handling certain structural projects and collaborate directly with our US stakeholder. That’s year one. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 

  • Conduct the post-design steps including reviewing the Truss/ Beam Design and actively communicate with your partners and stakeholders to propose the solution for improvement or adjustment 

  • Provide engineering services related to Simpson Strong-Tie wood structures for customers mostly located in North America 

  • Perform additional tasks as per requests by the team leader 

You will be trained about Simpson structure components and internal design software. 

Please note that your working time would be 4 Nights per week (9 PM – 6 AM)  

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE 

If you can do everything listed above, you’ve got what it takes. Perhaps some of the following would be helpful too: 

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or in other related majors 

  • Less than 2 years of experience (We also welcome fresh graduates) 

  • English skills: Fairly good command in English (Reading and Writing), or equivalent to TOEIC 550 Comprehend construction documents including architectural and engineering drawings 

  • Strong knowledge of structures related to Construction Engineering 

  • Be able to work independently as well as be a team-player 

  • Ability to respect tight deadlines and work under pressure 

  • Good organizational skill with sense of carefulness is highly required 

  • Acquire windows-based computer skills (Word, Excel) and AutoCAD
