Job description

Position Summary:

The High School Department is seeking an enthusiastic individual to evaluate and grade Biology labs. The grader is responsible for providing instructional support through constructive, focused feedback to ensure students meet established learning objectives. The grader’s primary function is to review and grade Biology lab assignments to assist students in achieving their educational goals.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Objectively and accurately evaluate Biology labs for high school program against established grading keys and rubrics.
  • Provide clear, effective, and constructive feedback to students that helps them see what needs improvement, as well as what was done well.
  • Complete necessary steps to ensure that exam feedback is uploaded for students and grades are properly recorded.
  • Participate in special grading projects as needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, teaching certification preferred
  • Teaching or tutoring experience.
  • Online teaching or tutoring experience preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently, think critically, and communicate effectively and efficiently.
