Job description

Overview:

Our marketing design team is seeking an intern to create digital ads, social media content, and more, with a focus on promoting teen, young adult, and romance books. 

Responsibilities:
  • Designs trade and consumer advertisements.
  • Designs social media marketing content.
  • Makes revisions on active design projects. 
  • Animates digital ads and book covers. 
  • Downloads assets from DAM for various projects. 
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects on a Mac.
  • Social Media proficient (Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok).
  • An interest in or a major/minor in design, advertising, or marketing.
  • Applicants should include a link to an online portfolio.
  • Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2025 or 2026 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to two years of work experience. 
  • Candidates must be available to work remotely for two days each week, totaling 14 hours, from February 3 – April 11, 2025. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour.  
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

  • Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. 
  • Candidates must demonstrate effective task prioritization skills. 
  • A passion for books is highly valued! 
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite is required.
