Job description

Overview:

Cordoba Corporation is a leading engineering and design firm based in California. We are seeking an Electrical UG Designer to join our team. This remote based position (California residents preferred) will work on CA public utility programs focused on underground projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating and design, with specific experience in underground electric service work. This position offers the chance to work on various projects and collaborate with a talented team of professionals.

Responsibilities:
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for underground service projects.
  • Work with fielders to understand site visits and evaluations to gather relevant information for estimating purposes.
  • Collaborate with project managers, team members, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project estimates.
  • Utilize estimating software and tools to analyze data and generate detailed deliverables.
  • Prepare and present estimates to clients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Continuously assess and improve the estimating process, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and team support.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to underground service work.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED required; post-secondary education and Electrical degree or certification preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in estimating, preferably in the electric utility service industry required
  • Knowledge of detailed material and labor requirements for construction of underground electric utility distribution pole replacement projects highly preferred
  • Experience with California utilities distribution line and services design and/or construction highly preferred
  • Fielding experience in electric distribution preferred
  • Experience with CPUC GO-95 and GO-128 preferred
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations (NESC, NEC, etc.)
  • Experience with SAP-based material and labor inventory: CPD/iCue or EES highly preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD electric distribution design
  • Experienced in using O-Calc or Spida software
  • Knowledge or experience working with Bluebeam or PDF
  • Proficiency using MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal English language communication skills

Pay Range: $83,200 to $124,800 per year

 

Work Location: Remote (California residents preferred)

 

Visa Sponsorship: Legal authorization to work in the U.S.A. on a full-time basis without sponsorship

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to pass a pre-authorized physical including a drug-screening and background check
