We are currently looking for a dynamic and skilled Director of Clinical Compliance and Regulatory Affairs to join our team. This role will focus on the operational aspect of primary care, corporate practice of medicine compliance, provider collaboration, scope of practice, and supporting Theoria’s growth into new states while ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of CPOM, healthcare regulations, billing rules, scope of practice laws, and experience leading compliance initiatives in a healthcare organization. Shift Structure
- Remote position, M-F
- Preferred hours: 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. EST
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Ensure Theoria Medical's operations comply with CPOM laws in all states, particularly when establishing new facilities or expanding services.
- Provide expert guidance on scope of practice for physicians, nurse practitioners, and other providers, ensuring compliance with state-specific regulations.
- Oversee the development, review, and maintenance of collaboration and supervision agreements between physicians and nurse practitioners, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Lead investigations related to clinical practice issues ensuring all are documented and handled according to legal standards.
- Develop and deliver training for staff on regulatory compliance and legal best practices.
- Operate independently to manage caseloads efficiently and consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures that align with evolving industry standards.
- Stay current on healthcare laws, regulations, and emerging legal trends to provide proactive legal counsel.
- Assist senior leadership in understanding regulatory risks and opportunities to support strategic business objectives.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in healthcare law, regulatory compliance, or healthcare setting.
- Expertise in healthcare regulatory frameworks (e.g., CMS, HIPAA, Stark Law).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
