Job description

About Ping Identity:

At Ping Identity, we believe in making digital experiences both secure and seamless for all users, without compromise. We call this digital freedom. And it's not just something we provide our customers. It's something that inspires our company. People don't come here to join a culture that's built on digital freedom. They come to cultivate it.

Our intelligent, cloud identity platform lets people shop, work, bank, and interact wherever and however they want. Without friction. Without fear.

While protecting digital identities is at the core of our technology, protecting individual identities is at the core of our culture. We champion every identity. One of our core values, Respect Diversity, reminds us to celebrate differences so you are empowered to bring your authentic self to work.

We're headquartered in Denver, Colorado and we have offices and employees around the globe. We serve the largest, most demanding enterprises worldwide, including more than half of the Fortune 100. At Ping Identity, we're changing the way people and businesses think about cybersecurity, digital experiences, and identity and access management.

The DevTools team sits in the center of all of our Multi-Tenant SaaS offerings. Ping builds a bespoke platform-as-a-service on top of Kubernetes and other cloud native technologies allowing our product to be built reliably and securely. The DevTools team owns the continuous delivery model and supporting tools of this platform, as well as self-service tooling for allowing product teams to confidently automate their infrastructure with reduced stack complexity. It is our team’s mission to remove operational and knowledge barriers for developers to push changes to production, automating necessary manual gates, and to reduce the risk in a deployment by building a repeatable pipeline.

You will:

  • Focus on three core areas: continuous delivery, self-service infrastructure automation, and security/audit support.
  • Daily work includes Kubernetes, Spring-Boot apps, pipeline-as-code in Jenkins and ArgoCD.
  • Engage directly with developers, SREs, and QA to identify needs and tailor solutions.
  • Senior engineers provide technical leadership, mentoring, and coaching in best practices.
  • Promote innovation by staying updated on emerging technologies.
  • Seek challenges that foster growth, learning, and collaborative innovation.

You have:

  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in a developer or DevOps role
  • Strong understanding of kubernetes, AWS, Java, Groovy, API, mobile application CI/CD
  • You like investigating and solving complex problems
  • Passion for learning and implementing new technologies in a group setting, mentoring junior team members
  • Self-directed, able to accomplish tasks with minimal hand-holding
  • Familiarity with Linux

You have an advantage if:

  • You are a coachable team player.
  • You have made serious mistakes that transform  you into a better DevTools engineer today.
  • You ask questions, and you seek answers to them.
  • You are hungry for technical excellence and zealous collaboration
