This role is for a Senior Technician to join our Assure Claims Delivery team with the goal of becoming a Subject Matter Expert who is able to work directly with clients and delivery teams to achieve client project objectives.
With a few years’ experience, the long term goal for this role, is to train to become a Solution Architect who can see the big picture of how whole systems fits together. You will grow into this role to become the primary point of contact with our Clients for up front requirements, team leadership, and technical design to develop a successfully configured system.
Superior communication skills are a must.
Property & Casualty Insurance background, particularly claims, would be a plus.
Occasional travel to client sites in the USA may be required.
Candidate can live anywhere in the US or Canada to be able to work remotely with customers in North America time zones.
Essential Job Functions
Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents moderately complex programs. Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
Designs systems and programs to meet complex business needs. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensures programs meet standards and technical specifications; performs technical analysis and component delivery.
Gathers information from existing systems, analyzes program and time requirements. Assists project manager in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.
Designs programs for projects or enhancements to existing programs.
Writes specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.
Assists support and/or project personnel in resolving moderately complex program problems. Works with client and management to resolve issues and validate programming requirements within their areas of responsibility. Provides technical advice on complex programming.
Develops test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
Conducts quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
Creates appropriate documentation in work assignments such as program code, and technical documentation.
Remains abreast of industry technical trends and new development to maintain current skills and remain current with industry standards.
Agile Methodology experience.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred
5 or more years of programming experience
Required Skills
2-5 years of experience with : .Net, C#, .Net core, SQL, Javascript
Additional skills
Jenkins, Artifactory, CSAM, Confluence, JIRA, Sharepoint

Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $84,100 - $156,100.
