As a Compliance Audit Specialist, you will conduct compliance audits as part of the compliance audit program of Empower's registered entities as required by rules and regulations, under the guidance of the Chief Compliance Officer. 

What you will do:

  • Conduct compliance audits with guidance from more experienced peers
  • Communicate with business unit personnel to obtain understanding of processes as well as to notify them of compliance deficiencies and process improvements
  • Document testing completed as well as draft audit reports

What you will bring:

  • 3+ years of compliance experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • FINRA fingerprinting required.

What will set you apart:

  • Previous experience with investment adviser, broker-dealer, or investment company compliance policies and procedures is highly desired
  • Audit experience is a plus
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to interface with a variety of colleagues, including the all levels of business area personnel through formal and informal meetings and email
  • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities with strict deadlines

Base Salary Range

$63,100.00 - $89,125.00

The salary range above shows the typical minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
