Position Overview:

  • Manager, Contracts, is responsible for facilitating and managing the entire contract life cycle of the Managed Care Payer pharmacy channel. This position works closely with Field Managed Care and the Distribution Channel team in developing and maintaining payer agreements that provide patients with pharmacy access to our products and services while aligning with Insulet’s goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Track and project manage contracts through the development and approval process.
  • Ensure contractual obligations of all parties are met on a timely basis including data exchange, development of quarterly business reviews, performance milestones, and rebates.
  • Maintain systems/processes necessary for timely and accurate development, assessment and administration of contracts and proposals.
  • Develop contracts/amendments/notifications for Managed Care customers and collaborate with Field Managed Care team in negotiations with payers.
  • Assist in the development of action plans for payers that are non-compliant with payment or other contractual obligations, including analyses of potential impact to revenue.
  • Manage payer specific and national price changes (includes monitoring the timing, calculations, communications with payers and internal departments).
  • Assist in the development and ongoing maintenance of boilerplates, including facilitating review with appropriate internal parties and legal.
  • Coordinate review of any ‘non-standard’ contract obligations with appropriate parties.
  • Assist with the rollout and tracking of mass communications and/or contracts (e.g. new product, price increase, process change).
  • Continually update contracts, processes, systems and/or tools.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to effectively communicate and develop working relationships with internal and external customers to align business recommendations.
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple complex projects and adapt effectively in a dynamic environment with unpredictable and shifting priorities.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to maintain open communication with employees, managers and customers.
  • Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel). Comfortable with web technology / document management systems / account management systems
  • Strong team player, who is able to collaborate effectively as a key member of different teams to achieve optimal team results.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years contracting experience in Managed Care or Market Access in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with Managed Care payers, Distribution Channel groups, and reimbursement process is a plus.

Additional Information

  • The position can be remote, hybrid or in-person at our Acton headquarters.
  • Travel is estimated at 5% but will flex depending on business needs.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $99,700.00 - $149,800.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
