And our work depends on a Sr. Business Analyst joining our team remotely to support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Marketplace Assister Technical Support (MATS) Logical Follow-On (LFO) activities. Work visa sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

As a Sr. Business Analyst supporting CMS, you will be trusted to: work hand-in-hand with our CMS customer, collecting business requirements and system documentation supporting business and IT activities and to conduct, document, and communicate data collection and analysis. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Designing Salesforce solutions, configuring Salesforce, creating and refining complex data models, working with external integration, automating business process, and working on additional custom functionality to meet the business needs.
  • Acting as the liaison between our customers, vendors, and the application development team, including communications of business process analysis through documentation.
  • Performing fit-gap analysis between Salesforce functionality and customer requirements.
  • Developing, documenting, and providing technical review and validation of user stories and to-be process flows based on business requirements to support the design and development of Salesforce solutions.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to design a solution that will meet business requirements and fulfill user stories.
  • Participating as a domain expert in customer-facing meetings to facilitate discussions regarding provider enrollment initiatives and to provide assistance with technical inquiries related to system implementations, as needed.
  • Breaking down roadmaps into epics and decompose into user stories.
  • Verifying completion of requirements with customer and service providers, ensuring expectations are appropriately met.
  • Listing out risks and constraints in relation to identified requirement.
  • Working with stakeholders and the project team to prioritize the backlog.
  • Providing additional support and guidance to clients during the implementation phase, to include development of training resources.
  • Researching, reviewing, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements gathering processes and developing strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
  • Documenting and communicating reporting requirements, rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis
  • Preparing and conducting analysis of data for system requirements, to determine the performance and health of a system or network, and other needs.
  • Providing input or preparing technical reports/briefings based on the expert interpretation of analyzed data. Presenting data in briefing and other formats to internal teams and CMS.
  • Recommending changes to the overall system or network to ensure service to the customer.
  • Serve as primary contact with the Subject Matter Experts.
  • May coach and mentor other Business Analysts.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years related hands-on experience
  • 6+ years of experience working with business processes and re-engineering
  • 6+ years of experience capturing requirements
  • 3+ years of experience capturing and writing user stories
  • 3+ or more years of business processes and business analysis experience in a system engineering or software application environment
  • 3+ years of experience using JIRA, SharePoint and Confluence
  • Experience working in a Scrum and/or SAFe Agile environment
  • Proficient using MS Excel and Access
  • Proficient designing and building reports
  • Competent using MS Word and PowerPoint
  • Candidate must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • Candidate must have lived in the United States at least three (3) out of the last five (5) years

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Salesforce and/or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software application strongly preferred
  • 6+ years of experience years of experience working with data and completing data analysis activities
  • 3+ years of experience modeling data requirements, performing data analysis and improving data quality within Salesforce or other relevant Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software application
  • Certified SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner or Scrum Master
  • Experience working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and/or heath insurance/heath care experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with customers and internal cross-functional teams
  • Self-motivated, well-organized and strict attention to details
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics to management and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to understand and manage customer expectations and software implementation methodology
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to integrate information from multiple sources
  • Ability to work independently and interact regularly with government and non-government stakeholders at multiple levels of authority
  • Must have the capacity to understand the QA processes and work in the software environment

The likely salary range for this position is $102,000 - $138,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
