General Summary

This is a remote position, travelling to oversee multiple projects.

This position is responsible for providing overall leadership, management, administrative and technical direction for multiple solar projects. This position manages several project teams and is responsible for oversight to ensure safe execution of each project.

Essential Job Accountabilities

  • Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule. Includes interfacing with client representatives, union officials and subcontractors.

  • Oversight of several projects to ensure planning, coordination and/or supervise activities of all company management personnel on assigned project(s) to make certain work is completed under budget and on schedule.

  • Authorize/approve all project personnel transactions (hiring, transfers, wages, etc.), purchase requisitions, change requests, to ensure corporate/business unit objectives are met.

  • Consult on union projects and assist in jurisdictional disputes and negotiations as required, in order to protect Granite’s interests.

  • Ensure all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards are followed to make certain we adhere to core values.

  • Maintain official project log and documentation files in order to track project status, schedule and determine project teams, and mantain future project look-ahead.

  • Analyze training needs and opportunities of personnel to ensure needs are being met. 

  • Comply, understand, and support corporate safety initiatives to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Travel part-time to the projects responsible for to manage the client relationship, our internal management team, and ensure successful project execution.

  • Review and audit the project forecasts for compliance and cost projections.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or equivalent combinations of technical training and related experience.


Work Experience

  • Minimum 10 years experience.


Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, methods), company policies, procedures and standards; and union jurisdiction, labor agreements, negotiation skills essential.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills required.

  • Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), estimating and forecasting software.

  • Travel required

The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus. At times will be working around large construction equipment, must be safety conscience.

Base Salary Range: 

$119,354.00 - $207,771.00

Pay may vary based upon relevant experience, skills, location, and education among other factors.
