About the Role
The Sr Director Brand Marketing is responsible for building and execution of integrated, consumer centric marketing plans across seasonal, campaign, collaboration, social and influencer marketing content. The Sr Director will lead teams to ensure Brand strategic planning, channel specific rigor, creative direction, and drive executional excellence as we continue our focus on brand reinvigoration and business growth. In addition to leading the teams in social first content planning and execution, this role is responsible for continually steering brand direction and elevation across all of our brand content. Partnering closely with our VP of creative, this role is always ideating and pushing for creative excellence within our content approach. Partnering with leads across retail, ecomm, PR, and operations, this role will ensure we take a 360, integrated approach to our brand and product content visuals and storytelling.

We are looking for a seasoned brand marketing leader who understands the importance of the intersection of fashion, culture and commerce to help lead the team to revitalize and elevate the GAP brand through strategic, integrated marketing initiatives.
What You'll Do
  • Integrated Marketing Leadership: Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans that span seasonal brand campaigns, collaborations, social media, and influencer content. Your role will be crucial in orchestrating cohesive Consumer first Marketing plans that enhance brand presence and drive growth.
  • Customer-Centric Omni Experience: Champion customer-focused strategic planning and ensure rigorous, channel-specific execution. Lead teams to create and implement compelling, customer-centered content that reinforces our brand aspiration and drives engagement.
  • Creative Excellence: Partner closely with our creative team to push the boundaries of creativity. Foster a culture of innovation and ensure that all content reflects our brand’s style and tone, setting industry standards for visual storytelling.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with leads across Product, Retail, e-commerce, PR, and operations to deliver a unified brand narrative. Your ability to integrate brand and product content across various platforms will be key to achieving a seamless customer experience.
  • Strategic Partnerships: As a pivotal member of Gap’s Key Business Leader community, build strong relationships with design, merchandising, e-commerce, production, field operations, and finance teams. Work alongside our Strategy Director and Art Directors to craft bold, impactful work that resonates across the brand.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Utilize customer data and insights to inform and refine key strategies and tactics. Ensure that our marketing efforts are grounded in a deep understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.
  • Agency Management: Manage our agency partners, including Creative, Influencer, Social and partner with internal Media shared services team to deliver their best work in support of the Brand’s objectives
Who You Are
  • Extensive experience in brand marketing leadership, with a proven track record in one or more category leading brands focusing on brand relevancy and strategic execution.
  • Proven success in leading world-class campaigns and creative work
  • Be a true expert on products, consumers, competitors landscape and market trends.
  • A deep understanding of the intersection of art, culture, and commerce, with the ability to translate brand aspirations into compelling content.
  • Expertise in crafting and executing integrated marketing campaigns across various channels and platforms for large scale initiatives.
  • Strong leadership skills. Keep yourself and your team inspired. Enable your team to deliver outstanding work that will define consumer engagement with the GAP brand.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
