Job Summary:
The Audit Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our organization adheres to pertinent laws, guidelines, regulatory standards and internal policies. By organizing and managing the audit process, this professional facilitates a systematic review of financial and operational practices within the company. Responsibilities include scheduling audits, liaising between auditors, internal and external departments, contracted vendors and ensuring that all necessary documentation is prepared and accessible. Their responsibilities include the thorough evaluation and monitoring of organizational processes and practices, with a focus on staying abreast of both current and forthcoming regulatory requirements to manage and mitigate risks associated with non-compliance effectively. This position involves strategic planning, governance, and contributes to the overarching direction of our organization’s audit function.
Job Duties:
- Organize and lead audits, ensuring all parties are informed of the timing, scope, and objectives.
- Analyze to identify patterns or issues, preparing detailed reports on findings for senior management.
- Lead verification efforts to ensure the implementation of corrective actions and compliance improvements.
- Assist in the development and refinement of audit methodologies and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the audit process.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards required.
- Strong communication skills with all levels of the organization with clients, and other stakeholders required.
- Build strong partnerships across business units including partners, process owners, and operational staff, to drive process improvement, enhance controls and monitor risk
- Must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail, analytical acumen, and a deep understanding of auditing standards and regulations. Experience in various auditing projects, including financial, operational, and compliance audits, to broaden their expertise that prepares for complex challenges.
