About this role
The Application Packaging, Automation & Monitoring is responsible for delivering application packaging, automation, and monitoring services back to support end user device infrastructure. Part of this chapter is focusing upon next-generation end-user monitoring using tools that measure and continually improve the digital employee experience which are becoming more important as enablers of modern digital workplaces. Digital employee experience (DEX) tools measure and continuously improve the performance of and employee sentiment toward company-provided technology. Near to real time processing of aggregated data from endpoints, applications, employee sentiment and organizational context surfaces actionable insights and drives self-healing automations, optimized support, and employee engagement. Insights and self-healing can enhance employee interactions with self-service portals and chatbots. They also help IT support, asset management, procurement, and other teams whose work depends on reliable information.
Description
This position is within the DWE (Digital Workplace Engineering -Monitoring & Metrics Engineering Department and is based in Gurgaon, India. The primary role involves developing automation using PowerShell and other development skills to drive data programs, including building bespoke reporting using out of the box functionality or through scripting. The primary tool that will be used is ControlUp, one of the leading end-user device monitoring tools. The position requires the individual to work cross-functionally among broader Digital Workplace teams and beyond.
The successful candidate will have experience in a wide range of end-user computing and not just monitoring tools. They will be part of the BlackRock Global Monitoring team and will be involved in regular maintenance, reporting configuration, health checks, implementation, integration, and management of endpoint infrastructure monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role include developing self-healing scripts and automation using PowerShell. The candidate will also be responsible for producing outcome-based reports and working with vendors and internal technology teams on the implementation and customization of various reporting. In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be tasked with maintaining the system health and performing periodic version upgrades. They will coordinate with the vendor on bringing new features and functionalities to the table and will be expected to continuously introduce solutions to provide state-of-the-art monitoring services.
Required Skills
Required skills for this role include 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in managing end-point monitoring tools, exceptional ability with PowerShell scripting to develop self-healing / other type of automations / bespoke solution including producing data reports as per the business requirements along with strong troubleshooting skills.
Preferred working experience on tools like ControlUp / Nexthink etc.
Experience on virtual end point technology (VDI / VMware etc.) will be good to have.
Strong troubleshooting skills accompanying creating thinking to resolve complex and non-complex issues.
Must possess excellent customer service, follow up and organizational skills
Outstanding written and verbal communications skills complemented by proven expertise in relationship building and management.
Experience with manufacturer/vendor support (raising cases, escalating)
Programming/Scripting experience (PowerShell/C#/Python etc.)
Experience working programmatically with Active Directory & Azure AD.
