Responsibilities:

EPE Software team is looking for Mid-Level ETL Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes, with specific expertise in ESRI, Python, and Safe FME workflows. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency and problem-solving skills to support software team ESRI Utility Network conversion workflows and client engagements.

 

 

How you can make an impact:

  • Utilize ESRI tools and technologies to manage and process spatial data to support ENER-i software client and R&D engagements.
  • Develop scripts and automation solutions using Python to streamline ETL workflows.
  • Implement and manage data transformation workflows around ESRI Utility Network Model using Safe FME.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and ensure efficient data flow.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • Document ETL processes and workflows for maintenance and future reference.
  • Support customer data integrations and data pipelines.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in ETL development and data integration.
  • Experience in ESRI tools and technologies for spatial data management.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, with experience in data processing and automation.
  • Experience with Safe FME workflows for data transformation and integration.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL database concepts and Postgres SQL.
  • Experience with data modeling tools and diagrams (ERD, Shema designs etc..).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  •  

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with cloud-based data integration solutions.
  • Experience with Dagster, DBT, AirByte, Snowflake, Clickhouse tools is a strong plus.
  • Experience with Electrical Utility Industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with other programming languages such as Java or R.
  • Knowledge of GIS and geospatial data principles.
  • Certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., ESRI, Python, FME).
