  • The role you will play:

    The Business Development Representative (BDR) will play a crucial role in identifying and generating new business for Render. You will convert leads to real sales opportunities and proactively research and contact prospective customers who could achieve great value by Render’s robust platform offering. The BDR will build and maintain a consistent sales pipeline to drive growth and support Render’s revenue goals. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Product Marketing, this is a fantastic opportunity for a sales professional to build their career with a global scaleup in an industry that is experiencing exponential growth. You will be a tenacious, self-driven sales professional with a technical aptitude and a background or an interest in SaaS technology and network construction.

    Key responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Manage the outbound lead generation process and hunt for new business opportunities.
  • Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly SQL targets.
  • Strategically contact leads through cold calls, email, LinkedIn, and other touch points with the goal of filling the sales pipeline with qualified sales opportunities.
  • Research target companies and their buying committees and take a strategic approach to reach enterprise level prospects, including writing tailored messaging.
  • Qualify and nurture outbound leads with the goal of setting qualified meetings for Render’s Account Executives.Represent Render as the first point of contact for sales opportunities and effectively qualify leads.
  • Utilize HubSpot to organize contacts and track progress of Leads.
  • Report weekly results to your Manager including leads reached, response rates, and meetings set.
  • Maintain active engagement with prospects responding to questions, objections, and any activity to qualify and convert them to a meeting.
  • Ensure a seamless hand-off of sales qualified leads to Account Executives.
  • Accurately enter and maintain key lead information including across the market: customer segments, competitive and buyer intelligence,  and pipeline information in HubSpot.
  • Understand Render’s business value, product vision and customer profiles.

  • As our ideal candidate:
  • You’ll have 2+ years of outbound (SDR or BDR) experience at the enterprise level within a telco or high-growth technology company. Network engineering, construction, or telco experience is highly desirable.
  • You are passionate about technology with the capability to simplify and explain complex technical solutions to prospective customers.
  • You have strong research and writing skills in order to find and engage with difficult to reach contacts at an enterprise organization.
  • You are focused on SQL and opportunity progression and conversion with a curiosity for value-based sales approaches.
  • You possess strong organizational skills (ability to manage tightly, over time, a large quantity of information), and ability to achieve KPIs and manage deadlines.
  • You are a disciplined self-starter who can conduct required sales outreach activities in order to achieve individual and team metrics.
  • You have a passion for contributing to our global team culture and sharing knowledge and insights.
