What’s in Store 

We're on the lookout for a Vice President of Information Technology. As a Vice President of Information Technology, you will play a crucial role in shaping our technological landscape and is responsible for executing our lift-and-shift strategy, modernizing our platforms, and leading our IT team in delivering innovative solutions. Understanding of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, combined with knowledge in .NET, SQL, and AI technologies, will be essential for achieving our strategic goals.

 

  • Strategic Leadership: Propose, present and execute a comprehensive platform modernization strategy that aligns with business objectives, focusing on lift-and-shift initiatives and cloud migration.
  • Client Management: Demonstrate the ability to engage with and lead interactions with executive-level client stakeholders.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize your knowledge of .NET, SQL, and AI to guide technology decisions, ensuring the right tools and processes are in place to support business needs.
  • Program Management: Oversee multiple IT projects and programs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and timely delivery of results. Foster a culture of accountability and excellence within the team.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of IT leaders, mentoring and developing talent while fostering collaboration across departments. Build a high-performance culture that encourages initiative and innovation.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Actively engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to communicate technology strategies, gain buy-in, and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Execution and Initiative: Demonstrate a strong ability to execute on strategy, driving initiatives from concept to completion while managing resources effectively.
  • Infrastructure Management: Ensure the robustness and scalability of our cloud and on-premises infrastructure, balancing performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.

 This role is a full-time, remote position.

 

Your Expertise, Skills, and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; or related experience. 
  • 10+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably within the insurance industry. 
  • Proven experience in platform conversions and platform modernization. 
  • Strong knowledge of .NET, SQL, on-prem and cloud infrastructure. 
  • Understanding of AI/ML technologies and their application in the insurance sector. 
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with a track record of leading teams and driving successful initiatives. 
  • Excellent program management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Executive-level critical thinking skills. 
  1. Ability to adapt to new technologies quickly.
  2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated through the preparation of reports and presentations for diverse audiences
  3. Customer service orientation, with a track record of resolving client issues efficiently and effectively.
  4. Proven ability to mentor and train team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
