JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The School of Public Affairs at Penn State Harrisburg is looking for a research assistant. This is a opening to support grant-funded research on inequalities in accessing medical cannabis dispensaries and products in Pennsylvania. The hours will predominantly between 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Friday. This opening may involve both remote and on-site work in Middletown, PA. The opening is primarily for help with conducting a systematic literature review. This research assistant opening will be for the duration of Nov 1, 2024 – May 30, 2025. It will involve:

 

Job Duties

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Establishing a systematic search methodology
  • Conducting the literature search
  • Coding articles
  • Manuscript drafting

 

Requirements and Qualifications
  • This opening is most suitable for an advanced undergraduate student.
  • Ability to commit to 10 hours per week on a flexible schedule while a project is in progress.
  • Ability to follow rigorous research standards.
  • A demonstrated commitment to quality and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote/distributed work environment.

 

Duration of Project:  11/1/2024- 5/30/2025

 

Scheduled Weekly Hours: Approximately 10 Hours

Hourly Rate: $16

 

This opening has the potential to be performed fully remote or as a hybrid of remote and on-site working.
