Summary of Job Duties:
The Research Assistant supports research initiatives by contributing to various stages of the research process. Key responsibilities include drafting study protocols, managing Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, and handling data collection and analysis to ensure accurate and reliable results. Additionally, the Research Assistant plays a role in manuscript preparation and supports the publication process to disseminate findings. This position requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a research team to achieve project goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry or an equivalent field, PLUS three (3) years of research related experience.

Responsibilities:
- Assists with the preparation of research proposals and grant applications. Manage project schedules and ensure deadlines are met. Handle Administrative tasks related to the research project, such as coordinating meetings and maintaining research records.
- Assists the PI in writing protocols for the various clinical trials. Handles the IRB submissions for the PI as needed. Conducts research under the direction of the PI, adhering to protocols with fidelity.
- Ensures data accuracy and integrity by following strict protocols. Manages and organizes the data files and databases. Conducts data analysis by preparing summaries, charts, and graphs to represent research findings. Also interprets data results and assists in drawing conclusions with the PI.
- Reporting and Publication – Conducts literature reviews to support research objectives and methodologies. Summarize relevant research findings and provide background information. Assist in writing research reports, papers, and presentations. Document research procedures, results, and any issues encountered. Abstract preparations, submissions to conferences, and abstract presentations. Prepare and present findings with PI at meetings or conferences as required.
- Performs related duties as required. Duties may be assigned by management associated with this position that are determined to be within the incumbent's knowledge, skills and abilities. Attends seminars or meetings as instructed or suggested by supervisor.
