Job Title: Engineering Operations Technician

Position Overview

This position will be primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our engineering teams, preparation of mission-critical equipment and materials, supporting operations of engineering laboratories, and promoting a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records, monitor stock, and reorder supplies as needed
  • Adhere to 5S principles for organizing and maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues while ensuring timely repair and replacement of faulty equipment 
  • Supports equipment preventative maintenance and calibration while maintaining equipment availability 
  • Coordinate logistics for equipment deployment 
  • Actively support a safe work environment, promote a safety culture, and maintain PPE.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Clearly and effectively communicates information.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and/or methods with a moderate degree of supervision
  • Applies basic analytical and administrative/technical skills to perform routine activities
  • Ensures accuracy and precision through strong attention to detail
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Assess workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Familiarity with various engineering equipment (e.g., lab instruments, testing devices)
  • Office Software Proficiency (Word, Excel) and technical writing capabilities
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams

Education and Experience

  • High School diploma / GED and 2+ years of relevant experience, or associate’s degree/Vocational Technical School diploma with focus on related field and 1+ years of relevant experience

Additional responsibilities and skills for Engineering Operations Technician

  • Intermediate Understanding of Android & iOS Operating Systems

Additional Information

  • This position is in person in our Acton office
  • Travel is estimated at 10% but will flex depending on business needs.
  • Ability to lift at least 30lbs.

Additional Information:

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $19.62 - $29.50. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
