The Role:
The senior utility maintenance technician plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing the maintenance and operation of utility systems within a facility. They are responsible for supporting a team of technicians and ensuring the efficient and reliable functioning of utility equipment. The senior technician must possess extensive knowledge and experience in utility systems, along with strong leadership and problem-solving skills
Here’s What You’ll Do:
Provide support and guidance to a team of utility maintenance technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring work is completed efficiently and effectively.
Conduct regular inspections of utility systems to identify potential issues and develop preventive maintenance plans.
Troubleshoot complex problems with utility systems and equipment, and provide technical expertise to resolve issues.
Coordinate with other departments and external vendors to schedule repairs, maintenance, and equipment upgrades.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols to optimize the performance and lifespan of utility systems.
Monitor utility systems and equipment performance, analyzing data and making recommendations for improvements or upgrades.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory.
Train and mentor junior technicians, providing guidance on best practices, safety protocols, and technical skills.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in utility systems, and implement relevant changes as necessary.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the maintenance team.

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or vocational training is preferred.
Military training equivalent of above is acceptable.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to team members and stakeholders.
Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor.
Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting utilities systems in a pharmaceutical or similar regulated environment.
PREFERRED SKILLS - In-depth knowledge of utility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

This role is based in Norwood, MA and is expected to be in office 70% of the time with flexibility to work from home up to 30%.
