JOB TITLE Alpha Youth Engagement Director

WORK HOURS 40+ hours/week

PURPOSE OF JOB

Lead the charge at Alpha USA in equipping churches in opening spaces that help students discover and develop a relationship with Jesus.

RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO)

Work collectively and collaboratively with the National Engagement Team to provide proactive support and create scalable solutions that will propel us toward delivering on our promise to the Church as we work toward the 2033 vision. This includes...   

  • Relationally and strategically on-board Alpha Youth in different stages of engagement to catch the vision for Alpha Youth, lead confidently through their courses, extend Alpha Youth, and sign up for additional courses. This will be accomplished through personally reaching out to all Alpha Youth courses in your area of responsibility, one-on-one virtual calls, creating & executing innovations to improve service. (65% of the role)
  • Meet weekly with the National Engagement Team, weekly one on one with your supervisor (5% of the role)
  • Cross-departmental collaboration and representation including National Youth Team (bi-weekly meeting and other opportunities), Ops, training, resources, etc. (10% of the role)
  • Serve as an extension of our National Training Team by helping host Alpha Youth specific trainings and other learning opportunities that are essential for Youth Alphas to start strong (10% of the role)
  • Attend all-staff gatherings in-person and online – Monthly All Hands Call, Team Days, TAC, etc. (10% of the role)

Weekly rhythms will include the following:

  • Provide impactful, envisioning, and relevant coaching to churches and organizations virtually and via digital communication
  • Collaborate with National Youth team to provide feedback and creative solutions to meet the needs of organizations that are serving students
  • Work with National Youth team to bridge work from events, products, etc. into connection and coaching with churches, organizations, and individuals resulting in an increase of Alpha Youth courses registered and retained year over year.
  • Work with the National Engagement Team to increase engagement of Alpha Youth with our registered courses, retention, and value added to all churches, organizations, and individuals.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience with Youth ministry
  • Minimum 2 course experience with Alpha Youth
  • Administrative skills and leadership gifting to influence remotely 
  • Ability to innovate and respond to results toward an excellent experience for customers 
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office365, Salesforce, and other Alpha platforms 
  • Experience in customer service and/or local church leadership preferred 
EDUCATION
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Alpha experience is preferred

  • Self-starter with ability to manage time, relationships, and tasks while keeping the overarching mission in view
KEY RESULTS
  • Influence and help achieve the strategic benchmarks on the way to the 2033 vision (ex. 6K Youth COIs in 2025) 
  • Lay the foundation and work to achieve 60%+ Retention for Incubate Churches 
  • Gather and share stories happening with students to the larger Alpha team and beyond on a regular basis.
  • Help achieve and maintain key National Engagement metrics (implemented over time) 
  • Recommendation of Youth Hubs (5 in 2025) and connecting influential and strategic COI’s to National Youth team
