AT&T has an opening for a Project Manager supporting the Program Management Office (PMO) with a focus to manage program priorities, process improvements, projects and procedures. The PMO Project Manager works closely with program leadership, customer leadership, and representatives of other IT service providers under the customer’s IT ecosystem.
Description of Job Duties/Responsibilities
- As a member of the PMO Support Team, the PMO Project Manager will be responsible for supporting and coordination with other PMs for completion of tasks and projects on time. Help oversee all aspects of projects including monitoring and summarizing progress of projects, providing periodic status to the PM/DPM, and when required, providing final disposition to the customer.
- Works directly with senior level managers across the program to ensure all aspects of each program projects are compatible and completed on time
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of projects and other work as required by the PMO
- Work with Program Manager, Deputy Program Manager, senior level managers, and Project Managers on risk management to minimize project risks and impacts.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project and contract documentation. On a quarterly basis, manage the creation of an extensive and detailed Program Management Review (PMR) that will not only be presented to the customer, but be delivered as a formal Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) document.
- On a quarterly basis, manage the creation of an extensive and detailed Award Fee Self-Assessment and Shared destiny Self-Assessment that will not only be presented to the customer, but delivered and retained as a program report.
- Provide support and expertise to the PMO team for various government contracting efforts that include, but not limited to, contract bidding, acquisition, modification, statement of work formulation, and other program management processes.
- Collaborate throughout the organization by working closely with all the program leads (business, finance, operations, technical and Information security, property management and contracts) to identify, assess, mitigate, monitor, and control potential risks on the program.
- Primary program Risk Advisor supporting and working with internal and external stakeholders to collect data to identify root cause of risk related problems, develop risk mitigation strategies, provide recommendations, and support the implementation of solutions.
- Conduct weekly or monthly internal program and external customer facing Risk, Issue, and Opportunity (RIO) Board meetings and oversee the completion of resulting action items.
- Develop and improve program wide risk management strategies and plans to ensure the program is not at risk and adheres to contract cost, schedule, and scope.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written, at different levels of the organization.

Required Qualifications: Candidate must have 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education. This equates to a Doctorate and 3 years, master’s and 4 years, bachelor’s and 6 years, associates and 8 years or HS diploma and 10 years.
Additional required qualifications include:
- Experience working in a team environment within a professional office setting.
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills and ability to manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Our PMO Project Manager (IT-IA-IM PM II) (Government) earns between $98,100 - $160,000 yearly. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
