You will play an integral role in helping DigitalOcean’s global growth! This role will be responsible for the ordering, intake, shipping, and ownership tracking of physical IT assets and software. In addition, you will participate in critical projects to help support the growth and success of DigitalOcean. This role is an exciting entry opportunity to work at a high-growth, fast-paced cloud infrastructure startup where you can wear multiple hats and directly see the impact you are making daily.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Ensuring all of our new hires start their first day with the required computer and accessories 
  • You will be responsible for maintaining and iterating on our Global IT Lifecycle Management processes, including the planning, ordering, receiving, shipping, and decommissioning of all physical IT assets
  • Maintaining our global hardware inventory levels and ensuring all inventory tracking tools are up to date
  • Evaluate and deploy a single source of truth inventory management solution
  • Building workflows for validating international shipping requirements and generating the appropriate documents
  • Owning our IT hardware & software vendor relationships and staying up to date on inventory levels, transit times, and substituting hardware when necessary
  • Utilizing our device management tools (JAMF & VMware Workspace One UEM) to verify the status of deployed equipment
  • Erase and redeploy systems as they are returned
  • Maintain a pool of loaner equipment that is ready to ship

  • Ability to work in various office IT environments with minimum supervision and manage your time carefully
  • A pleasant demeanor and the ability to communicate in user-friendly language
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move all components of network equipment, peripherals, and other ancillary equipment - Lift a minimum of 50Lbs
