You’ll tackle exciting challenges at the intersection of AI and product engineering, including designing complex, intuitive UIs and developing features like Smart Summaries, Proactive Custom Fields, and AI-driven status updates. Your work will empower teams to achieve more with AI integrated directly into their daily tasks. Our team focuses on:

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve

  • Weave user experiences with AI: Build intuitive, impactful experiences by integrating the latest advancements in technology to create seamless user interactions.
  • Develop hypothesis-driven intuition: Lead experiments and generate forward-thinking ideas that push boundaries and drive innovation at Asana.
  • Tackle complex challenges: Solve key issues in background and proactive AI, scaling, targeting, reach, and experimentation with prompt engineering.
  • Own the full product lifecycle: Collaborate with PMs, cross-functional teams, and customers to deliver impactful outcomes.
  • Learn and grow: Deepen your knowledge of AI technologies, gaining hands-on experience with the latest innovations in the field.

About you

  • 2+ years experience including frontend UI development, working across the stack within large, well-maintained codebases
  • Comfort navigating ambiguity and taking on open-ended AI/product challenges
  • Fascination with the potential of AI and eagerness to apply it to transform how we work
  • Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator

We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $171,000 - $209,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.

In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pay (for most sales roles), and benefits.
