What You'll Do:
Senior IT Systems Engineer will work as part of a senior team to provide engineering and support of the Active Directory, Office 365, Azure and the Windows infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
This individual will be responsible for project-based work as well as top level support for operational teams. The ideal candidate will have broad experience with Microsoft technologies and services.
Although strong competency with Microsoft technologies is required, this candidate should also have an understanding Unix/Linux/MacOS operating systems to be able to integrate and provide identity and access between environments.
The position will focus on engineering project work as well as support escalation.
How You'll Do It:
- Collaborate with engineers to implement best practices for Azure AD, Intune, SCCM, Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud federation.
- Manage the enterprise Citrix environment and recommend future VDI platforms to meet business needs.
- Automate manual processes using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
- Provide implementation and engineering support for server, end-user, and mobile device patch management.
- Document processes and provide training and mentorship to operational staff.
- Recommend and implement improvements for software, platforms, and hardware focused on continuous enhancement.
- Research emerging products, services, protocols, and standards for systems software procurement and development.
Additional Competencies Needed:
- Proficiency in Azure AD, Azure AD Connect, and Active Directory.
- Experience with Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop deployment and management.
- Automation skills using PowerShell and Power Automate.
- End-user device management using Intune, SCCM, and JAMF.
- Server management in hybrid data center and Azure environments via SCCM and ARC.
- Mobile device management with Microsoft Intune.
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure Configuration and Framework best practices.
- Ability to develop and execute cloud migration plans.
What You'll Bring:
· 8-10 years’ experience working within IT infrastructure and Operations in various roles.
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience at Systems Engineer or Senior Systems Administrator level in a Microsoft focus environment
· At least 3 years’ experience working in a Hybrid cloud environment Azure and AWS preferred.
· 5 years’ experience with Virtual Desktop platforms, device management tools, and automation scripting.
· Any relevant degrees and or certifications are preferred.
