Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior IC Design Engineer to join our team and drive the design and development of a crucial integrated circuit for our tunable RF solutions. This role will operate from our upcoming office in the Nijmegen Area, working closely with our design service partner’s IC design team as well as our internal RF module design team.
As the primary technical interface, you will ensure the IC design's alignment and optimization with our RF modules, incorporating tunable capacitors, switches, and low noise amplifiers. This position is ideal for a technical expert with a project-wide perspective, capable of overseeing complex design integrations and communicating effectively across teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main technical liaison between our design service partner’s IC design team and our in-house RF module design team.
- Support top-level IC design planning and oversee risk management, ensuring project alignment with performance goals.
- Conduct and assist in high-level simulations, including Monte Carlo simulations and model verifications.
- Drive the optimization of tunable capacitors and LNA performance within the IC to meet overall design objectives.
- Evaluate and ensure accurate and efficient top-level simulations in close collaboration with the partner design team.
- Proactively troubleshoot design issues, providing technical insights and resolution strategies.
- Maintain detailed documentation and provide timely updates to the VP of Engineering and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in IC design with a strong focus on tunable solutions and RF integration.
- Strong expertise in simulation techniques, including Monte Carlo, top-level planning, and risk management.
- Solid understanding of RF and analog circuit design principles, particularly around tunable capacitors and LNAs.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical details effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Highly organized, with a capability to view projects from a broad perspective and manage intricate design interfaces.
- Proactive, resilient, and adept at resolving complex design challenges.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving with a resilient attitude towards ambiguity.
