Job description

If you are a storyteller of data, how about joining us as we put new and revolutionary digital devices on the market? This is your chance to influence how we work with data science on these new initiatives.

Our products go beyond single use. We are on a mission to make digital devices for our products that support people with intimate health care needs even better.

“You’ll get to develop custom data models and algorithms for projects and use predictive modelling to impact our end-customer experience and give them a better life. It’s a purpose that’s important to all of us here,” says Data Scientist, Anna Puggaard.

Join the R&D organisation
At our HQ in Humlebæk, you will join our Innovation Unit, where we set the direction for the product development across the organization. More specifically, you will join our Embedded Solutions team of 8 colleagues. Embedded solutions is a new focus area within Coloplast aiming to incorporate digital devices into our products.

“In the team, we listen to new ideas and trust each other’s knowledge. And as long as you get your tasks done, you can plan your own time and work from home some days if you need to,” says Head of Embedded Solutions, Henrik Pedersen.

Be part of defining the product
You will work on various projects in Embedded Solutions, exploring how we can collect and analyse data from our products and develop the needed algorithms in collaboration with our development partners.
Furthermore, you will gather data and analyse it for products under development and generate insights that help define the final product, e.g., an intelligent stoma bag, giving an alert on the user’s phone.

Specifically, you will interpret the data and make it presentable to project teams and various management levels, as well as:
•    Work with stakeholders (marketing, R&D, IT, scientific affairs) to identify opportunities for leveraging data to business opportunities and solutions
•    Develop custom models and algorithms for projects and use predictive modelling
•    Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy
•    Mine and analyse data to drive optimisation and improvement of product development, marketing, and customer support
•    Explore new technologies and models to solve problems

Experience in applying data science to embedded products and services
In this role, being able to collaborate with many stakeholders across the organisation, share your knowledge, and find use cases is crucial.

You can work in technical detail without losing your overview and ensure that we all understand what data tells us by communicating it in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders outside your field.

Finally, we imagine that you:

•    Hold a degree within statistics, mathematics, computer science, or similar
•    May have graduated recently or have some experience working with data sets and building statistical models, perhaps within pharma or medical
•    Have experience with Python and libraries for machine learning or similar
•    Have experience with tools used to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
•    Are fluent in English

Interested?
If you would like to know more about the position, please call Head of Embedded Solutions, Henrik Pedersen on +45 4911 2011. We will take candidates into the recruitment process continuously, so do not hesitate to apply. This position will remain open until a suitable candidate has been found.
