Job Title: Pricing Specialist – Capture and Proposal Team
Location: Remote (USA)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Pricing Specialist to join our Capture and Proposal team for a government contracting environment. This role requires a knowledgeable, independent professional with expertise in pricing strategies for various government contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and others. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a thorough understanding of government proposal processes, and the ability to craft cost narratives that support competitive pricing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Pricing Analysis: Demonstrated knowledge in building pricing models to include direct labor costs, subcontractor/vendor costs, and other direct costs, and how to properly apply indirect costs and fee, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and other applicable guidelines.
  • Cost Narrative Development: Write compelling and clear cost narratives that explain and justify pricing strategies within proposals.
  • Collaboration and Support: Work closely with the capture and proposal team and other internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and competitive pricing in response to RFPs.
  • Excel Modeling: Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions for cost analysis and pricing model development.
  • Independent Management: Drive individual tasks and manage pricing initiatives autonomously, consistently meeting deadlines and quality expectations.
Requirements:
  • Experience and Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of government contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Time and Materials (T&M), Cost-Plus (CPFF, CPIF), and IDIQ.
    • 3+ years of experience in pricing, cost analysis, or finance, in a government contracting setting.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for pricing model development and cost analysis.
    • Ability to write clear, concise, and well-supported cost narratives for proposals.
  • Additional Knowledge:
    • Familiarity with government proposal processes and capture management.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and proactively in a remote environment.
