Index Analytics is seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist with prior Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning experience to implement mission-focused solutions emphasizing data-driven decision making. The selected candidate should have experience in multiple related technologies and have the ability to architect custom solutions and provide technical direction to multiple Agile teams concurrently.
Responsibilities
- Participate in Agile Development process.
- Provide Tier 3 support to user community.
- Mentor existing resources and new hires.
- Expert level experience designing and developing FWA analytics reporting, especially using SQL.
- Expert level experience identifying and collecting KPI metrics related to program performance.
- Expert level experience trouble shooting data integrity issues for data residing in data warehouses.
- Expert level experience trouble shooting quality issues in complex queries processing data in a data warehouse.
- Expert level experience trouble shooting run-time performance issues with developer and user queries.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- US citizen or Authorized to Work and lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years. Must be able to obtain a U.S. Federal government client badge and pass a government Public Trust.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or relevant discipline required and minimum 15+ years of Data Science work experience.
- 15+ years of experience performing advanced data analysis using SQL on petabyte data warehouses with transactional and/or claims data.
- 15+ years’ experience working with subject matter experts, investigators, and leadership conducting complex analysis.
- Knowledge of algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best-practice patterns.
- Experience using multiple relational database systems, especially Snowflake and other data warehouse database engines.
- 3+ years of experience with Agile.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work with product and program management teams, Agile development teams, and external stakeholders.
- Expertise with Agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, Slack etc.
The salary range provided represents the estimated compensation for new hires in this position, applicable across all locations. Actual offers may vary based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and market conditions. Index complements its base salary offering with a competitive package that includes health and retirement benefits, discretionary bonuses, and reimbursement for professional development opportunities.
